Description

Threshold strip is a sealing strip installed at the bottom of the door frame, mainly used for water blocking, dust prevention, sound insulation, and thermal insulation. The threshold strip usually has a T-shaped structure, with the protruding part in the middle embedded in the gap, and the two sides flat and in contact with the ground, which can prevent the edges from curling up and dust accumulation, and reduce the risk of tripping due to height differences. In modern homes, it is commonly used as a transitional connection between wooden flooring and materials such as tiles and carpets.

Applications

● Transition of ground material
The threshold strip achieves smooth connection of floor materials in different areas through material conversion, such as using wooden flooring and ceramic tiles to transition at the junction of the dining room and bedroom, and using marble or metal edge strips to transition at the entrance of the kitchen/bathroom.
● Waterproof and moisture-proof protection
In wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms, threshold strips are designed with a height difference (usually 3-5mm higher than other areas) to prevent water flow from overflowing. Combined with waterproof glue and sealing strips, they effectively prevent water vapor from penetrating into other areas.  
● Visual optimization plan
Metal edge strips (such as 304 stainless steel, aliphatic TPU material) can weaken the ground seam marks, and combined with brushed or carbon fiber textures to enhance the overall spatial integrity; Marble threshold stones achieve visual unity through color matching, such as matching with door frames and walls.  
● Special function design
Curved threshold strips are suitable for kitchen/bathroom corner areas, balancing ground height differences while maintaining visual fluency; High load-bearing models (such as aluminum alloy edge strips) can withstand pressures of over 50kg and are suitable for high-frequency use areas.
